BARE ROOT SEASON 

 

Bare root season is the cheapest, easiest and fastest time of year to plant, transport and maximise growth. The range we have in this year is as always HUGE! A full list of bare-root trees and roses is available in-store or on our website. The standard roses will continue to arrive this month and those waiting on orders will be called as soon as they are in.

PRUNING TIPS FOR ROSES & FRUIT TREES

*Try to maintain a "vase" shape (ie keep centre open by removing inward growing branches and prune to an outward facing bud)

*Remove and discard all waste to minimise pest & disease

*Remove any broken or damaged branches

 

 

Pruning tips for ornamentals:

*Always cut branches at least 5mm from main trunk  

*Always use sharp tools
